Cultivation for Full-Grown Kale

1. Sowing:

   • Direct sow in garden beds or start in nursery trays.

   • Transplant seedlings after 3–4 true leaves appear (around 3 weeks).

2. Soil:

   • Well-drained, fertile loamy soil with pH 6.0–7.5.

   • Add compost or well-rotted manure before planting.

3. Sunlight:

   • 4–6 hours of sunlight daily; can tolerate mild shade.

4. Watering:

   • Keep soil moist but not waterlogged.

   • Water 2–3 times per week, more in hot weather.

5. Fertilization:

   • Apply vermicompost or organic manure every 15–20 days.

   • For organic boosters: Use seaweed extract or panchagavya spray.

6. Pests/Diseases:

   • Common: Aphids, cabbage worms, and flea beetles.

   • Control: Spray neem oil (5 ml per liter of water) every 10–15 days.

7. Harvesting:

   • Begin picking outer leaves 50–60 days after sowing.

   • Continuous harvesting encourages new growth.
