Product Description:
Native Indian Organics has put together this Terrace Garden Kit for Beginners for people who want the main containers, growing media, vegetable seeds and basic plant-care inputs in one setup.
If you are starting a rooftop garden for the first time, read our terrace gardening in India guide for beginners before planting. It explains how to check sunlight, roof drainage and load, arrange containers, prepare a suitable soil mix and plan watering for Indian summer and monsoon conditions.
What Is Included in the Terrace Garden Kit?
- HDPE grow bags: 12 × 12 inch pack of 5 and 18 × 6 inch pack of 5
- Cocopeat: 5 kg
- Vermicompost: 2 kg
- Seaweed extract liquid plant input: 250 ml
- Humic acid liquid plant input: 250 ml
- Neem oil plant-care product: 250 ml
- Vegetable seed packs including okra, chilli, tomato, spinach or amaranthus, brinjal, black nightshade, radish and cauliflower
HDPE Grow Bags
The kit includes two grow bag formats so you can separate compact vegetables and leafy crops according to their root-space needs. The bags include drainage support and are suitable for terrace, balcony and kitchen-garden use.
Cocopeat and Vermicompost
Cocopeat helps keep a container mix lighter and improves moisture retention, while vermicompost adds mature organic matter and nutrients. Mix them with suitable garden soil or another growing medium rather than treating either material as a complete potting mix on its own.
Seaweed Extract and Humic Acid
These liquid plant inputs are included for use during active plant growth. Follow the dilution, frequency and application directions on each product label. More concentrated application does not mean faster or healthier growth.
Neem Oil Plant Care
Neem oil is included as a plant-care option when appropriate. Identify the pest or plant problem first, then follow the label directions for dilution and application. Avoid unnecessary spraying and test a small area when using any foliar product for the first time.
Vegetable Seeds for a Beginner Setup
The seed selection gives you a mix of fruiting vegetables, leafy crops and cool-season options. Not every crop should be sown at the same time. Choose varieties according to your local season, available sunlight and container depth.
Who Is This Kit Useful For?
- First-time terrace or balcony gardeners
- Home growers who want to start with a small container setup
- People who prefer buying the main growing essentials together
- Gardeners who want a mixture of vegetable seeds and basic soil inputs
