Slight unevenness in germination

Center of my tray was lush. Corners were thin. I wonder if my misting wasn't reaching the edges. Adjusted my watering method. Second tray was much more even.

Packaging simple but fine

No issues with seeds. The packet is plain, nothing fancy. What matters is that the seeds are alive and they perform. They do. Just wish there were growing notes inside.

Spice level varies by batch

First pack was intensely spicy. Second pack from same brand was milder. Not sure if it's variety or growing conditions. Both were good just noting the variation.

Grows too fast honestly

I planted too much. Had more harvest than I could eat in 3 days. Gave half to neighbours. Consider planting in smaller batches or staggering trays. Productivity is almost excessive.

Set a reminder for day 3 just to check. Tray was ready to harvest on day 4. Not 7, not 10. Four days. I've grown things for years and this is genuinely fast.

Heat is real warn people

If you're expecting mild greens, mustard microgreens will surprise you. Spicy, peppery, sinus-clearing. I love it but family didn't. Know your audience before you serve these.

First microgreen, will not stop

This was my entry point. Bought it thinking 'let me just try once'. Harvested on day 5. Impressed enough to immediately order 4 more seed varieties. Mustard opened the door.

Great First Attempt

This was one of my first microgreen batches and it went smoothly. The tray filled in well and gave me confidence to try more varieties.

Spice without any effort

My sambar, my dal, my raita all now get a handful of mustard microgreens at the end. Zero cooking required. The heat comes through and cuts through any richness.

Sinusitis literally felt better

I know this is anecdotal. But I've been eating mustard microgreens daily for 3 weeks and my chronic sinus congestion has improved. Doctor has no comment. I have opinions.

Sandwich layer that replaced everything

I used to use lettuce on sandwiches. Now mustard microgreens. The peppery bite changes the entire flavour architecture of a simple sandwich. No going back.

Fastest thing I've ever grown

Day 2 germination. I didn't miscount. Two days. Little yellow-green shoots appearing already. By day 5 I had a full harvest. Mustard microgreens are for the impatient gardener.

Weekly rotation locked in

I harvest mustard every 5 days and immediately start a new tray. It's the fastest cycle I have. 50g of seeds will last me 3-4 months at this pace.

Kids found it too spicy

My children refused to eat mustard microgreens. Tastes like strong wasabi to them apparently. I eat everything they won't. So the harvest isn't wasted. Just not family-friendly at high concentrations.

Raita got a personality

Mix plain dahi, add cumin, salt, grated cucumber, and a generous handful of mustard microgreens. A raita that used to be a side dish is now the main event.

Tiffinbox mein daalta hoon

Roz lunch box mein omelette ke upar mustard microgreens ki ek mutthi daalta hoon. Office mein sab poochte hain kya hai. Bacche bhi dekhke curious hote hain.

S
Subramani

No complications. No mold. No die-off. Seeds germinated on day 2, stood up by day 3, ready to harvest fully by day 5. This is what smooth growing feels like.

Dense planting creates stem crowding

I over-seeded. Stems were crowded and some got leggy from competing for light. Medium density next time. Seeds themselves germinate reliably too reliably if you over-plant.
