Pleasant Outcome

I usually keep detailed notes for every crop I test in containers. With these winged bean seeds, the first observation was speed. Tiny shoots appeared around day six. By the end of the second week, I was already arranging extra support because the vines were clearly ready to climb. The weather shifted from dry heat to scattered rain, and I expected some setbacks, but the plants remained steady. Leaf color stayed rich and healthy. Germination rate was higher than many specialty seeds I have tried. One seed never emerged, which is the only reason I paused before giving perfect praise. What surprised me most was how effectively the foliage created shade around a sunny section of my terrace. The area became noticeably cooler during the afternoon. Later, the young pods were harvested for cooking and had a pleasant texture. Overall the experience felt rewarding from seed tray to harvest.

R
Revathi
